The Little Things In Life!

1. Yesterday at Church after choir practice, I was handing out papers. One of the little boys came up to me, held out a dollar bill, and said that we (myself & the other helpers) deserved it for helping them & with the Christmas program. Aww!! I thanked him, gave him a hug, thanked him again, told him how thoughtful that was, but told him that I couldn't take his money. I thanked him quite a few times after that so he wouldn't feel upset over my not taking the money. Adorable = )

2. A little girl at Church, who is also in the Christmas program, is having a hard time with her parents going through a divorce. Whenever either of them drop her off at practice she cries and clings to them. I'm not an emotional person but watching that about breaks my heart. Last Sunday she did that same thing when her mom dropped her off for choir practice. I never knew if I should say something or let them deal with it. I decided last Sunday to grab her to take her picture and help her be okay with leaving her mom just for practice. Yesterday when her mom dropped her off she told her to go with me and she was fine! Well I got on Facebook yesterday and she had left me a comment on my wall:

"Just wanted to say thanks for taking my baby girl under your "wing" at church. She hasn't been doing well with leaving my side lately given the circumstances. You have given her a comfort at practice, it means more then you know."

Aww! = )

3. Today I baby-sat Annabelle. After Danielle got home we went out to eat at McDonalds. Danielle & I talk with Annie plays. When I was getting around to go home I gave her a hug & kiss and also told her that I loved her. This is how she responded:

"I love you very much Jordan!"

Awwww! I love the way she says Jordan! It made my day!! I love her! = )

Feels Longer

I'm getting really bad at this blogging thing. Whenever I have free time (which before wednesday wasn't very often) the last thing I wanted to do was blog and comment on your blogs. I realized that I was following 93 blogs so this evening I went through and deleted about half of them that I never read or it's been months & months since they've blogged last. It was something I didn't want to do but having all those blogs to read was starting to overwhelm me. I will try to at least read (& hopefully comment) very soon. I will try to recap what's going on in my life.

Work:

Michelle and her husband left Wednesday night to go on vacation for their Anniversary. They don't get back until Thanksgiving evening so I am off for a week and a half. I love working there but I am definately ready for a break!

School:

I am done with this semester December 15th and could not be more ready. My online Humanities class has been extremely stressful. Not because it's hard but because there's a ton to do every single week. Not only do I have to work on homework during the week but we also have things due on Saturdays. Total pain! I registered Tuesday for my classes next semester. I am staying at JCC and taking easy classes and all online. I'm taking Stress Management & Health, Powerpoint, and Web Design. I will be working at Michelle's all day. We will have two 3 year olds, a 2 year old, and 2 babies. :-/ LOL I'm so excited for the babies! Michelle can have the other kids and I'll just sit around and hold the babies all day long!! ;-)

Christmas Program:

We have 2 1/2 weeks until the Program. The practices have flown by. Usually the choir catches on super fast and it takes the drama kids a while to get their lines down but this year it's the opposite. Since Michelle is gone, we have to run practices this Sunday and next Wednesday on our own. She left me everything last night so I think I may have to run the practices. I assured her that they would go great! Since Wednesday is the week before the performance we have to do a full run through, hopefully twice. I love helping with them but this year I have been exhausted between 2 nights of practices a week, school full-time & work. This program I have helped with Drama, 5 special dances, the choir dances, and just finished a video that is going to be played during one of the songs. It actually turned out super cute, if I do say so myself! ;-)

Other:

Almost all of the kids at Michelle's have been sick with some sort of sickness or another. Chelle & I both thought we were in the clear when they all started getting better but ... no such luck. Last week Michelle started to feel sick so she finally went to the doctors and had strep. That left me. I thought I was clear. Monday I went to class like usual then to Michelle's. I felt fine. The later it got the more tired I felt. Not just tired but utterly-exhausted-could-hardly-keep-my-eyes-open-tired. We finally finished the video around 5:30 so I went home, got my stuff, and headed to church for practice (we had it Monday instead of Wednesday since Michelle was leaving on Wednesday). I had dance practice with the girls from 6:00-8:00. When I got to practice I still felt exhausted and as we were dancing I had a major headache, like a pounding headache. Michelle and I worked on some things before practice and she could tell that I didn't feel good. As practice went on I felt worse and worse as well as being freezing cold. I went home took my temperature (only a little over the norm), took a shower and went to bed.

Tuesday I woke up and still didn't feel great but had no fever so I went to work. I didn't feel the best but didn't feel horrible all day until I went home at rest time. My plan was to just go home & help Brooke register for classes but by the time I got home I felt horrible. I ended up calling Michelle and asking if I could just stay home. I laid on the couch all day until I had to go to class to take a quiz then came home right after, took a shower, and laid on the couch till bedtime.

I woke up Wednesday feeling fine! I was glad thinking that I was over whatever it was I had. Today I woke up feeling great. Since I didn't have work I met mom at her work, we went to the bank, then the mall for lunch, I went to the library, then home to relax. My cousin Drew was in a parade tonight so I started getting around for it. I started to get really hot and my cheeks were really rosy. Mom said I should probably stay home since being out in the cold after getting over being sick wasn't the best option. I had a low-grade fever and realized that I didn't feel good. Which left me sitting on the couch all evening!

Tomorrow I am baby-sitting Annabelle from 10:00-5:00 then going to see New Moon around 8:00 with friends! = )

You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. You just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back."

Concert {Pt. 1}

Sorry it's taken me so long. The first band was Cavo. I had never heard of them before but love their song "My Little Secret!" Youtube it. Second was Theory of a Deadman. The main singer started off, well, not sounding like he did on the cd. He was kind of high pitched and girly sounding. The last few songs he finally sounded like he did on the cd. Overall they were really good!

me, nikki, & brooke

i obviously didn't get the eye memo ;-)

a normal one
