Concert {Pt. 1}

Sorry it's taken me so long. The first band was Cavo. I had never heard of them before but love their song "My Little Secret!" Youtube it. Second was Theory of a Deadman. The main singer started off, well, not sounding like he did on the cd. He was kind of high pitched and girly sounding. The last few songs he finally sounded like he did on the cd. Overall they were really good!

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday: I met with an advisor at Mercy in the morning. She was extremely nice & due anytime! I'm pretty sure that Mercy is where I want to go to Nursing School. They only accept in the Fall so next semester I will be taking the first Anatomy and Physiology class. Yes, I have to take A&P all over again because all other schools only take a 2 semester class instead of the combined class. Just this semester JCC also changed their A&P to the 2 semester course but failed to tell me when I signed up. (Reason number 100 why I want out of that school!) After meeting with the advisor mom, Brooke and I wanted to do a little shopping.



First stop, Target! Loooove their dollar spot! I got a sunset calendar, and some Christmas post-its and Christmas pencils for Michelle.

Then we headed to Old Navy. I found out this week that my beloved boots are falling apart, literally. Unfortunately, they weren't on sale but I figured $30 wasn't so bad since I wear my current boots all the time.






Our last stop was the mall. We went to Dick's first to look at North Face jackets. Then I saw . . .

Aren't they cute!?! I had to have them, so mom bought me my first Christmas present!!! They are so incredibly comfortable.

Saturday I didn't wake up until almost 10:00. I don't remember the last time I slept in that late, or the last time I was able to sleep in. Unfortunately, I woke up with a headache and sore throat. I just stayed at home, layed on the couch, and watched movies all day. It was nice to just relax.

This morning I got up and around for Church. I still didn't feel great but we had choir practice during the 10:30 service. I came home, put sweats on, and layed on the couch. I did move from the couch to the recliner though, Ha! Right now mom and I are watching House Hunters. Also, the Love Comes Softly movie series is on Hallmark today until 1:00 or 2:00 AM. Love those. At 8:00 is the third movie of The Prince and Me. I ♥ that movie! Unfortunately, they have changed the main characters. I hate when they do that but do love the movie.

Now, I'm off to go finish homework. Have a great Sunday = )

The Catch-Up Post

We used to have Catch-up days in Art class when I was in Elementary which were always the best! That's what this post will be about.

• Friday I met up with Sarah. We got to the mall around 5:00 and Sarah didn't drop me off until 8:30. It was so nice and not awkward at all. I caught her up on what's been happening in my life and she caught me up on her life. It was like we never stopped talking, minus the catching each other up part. We just talked about everything and was a huge reminder of how close we once were. I sincerely think we could go back to being that close but it's hard since we live 13 hours from each other. She seems to be really happy which makes me happy, even though I wish she lived closer! So, PTL for that!

• The concert was AMAZING! It was so incredibly good. The first group to perform was Cavo. They were actually pretty good. After Cavo, Theory of a Deadman performed! They were ultimately who we wanted to see. Unfortunately they only played for 30 minutes and the first couple of songs the main singers voice didn't sound the same as on the cd. It was much better for the last couple of songs. Finally Daughtry performed for an hour and a half! He put on a really good show with quite a bit of special effects. I will post pictures when I get them all picniked!

• I also have pictures to post of when we took the kid's to Carpenter Farms a couple weeks ago. The pictures turned out really cute! I will post them sometime this week.

• I am SO over all these different sicknesses. In the past 3 weeks, we have had 7 different kids sick. And one ended up with the swine flu last Friday so he will be out all this week. I do not want to get that because I can't miss a week of classes not to mention Michelle will be on her own with the kids for a week.

• The 30 day shred, hasn't happened since Thursday night. The busy weekend didn't help. I had time Sunday but I ended up getting a really bad headache and thought I might be coming down with something so I didn't even go to drama practice. Thankfully I felt ok today! I attempted to do it tonight but I had a serious case of ADD, and I don't even have ADD, HA!

• I have less than a month until this semester is over and I have no idea where I'm going to go to school next semester. I went to the open house at Mercy and liked it, but didn't love it. Thursday I meet with an advisor at a school about an hour away so hopefully that looks more promising!
