decision made.

You may remember this previous post. I have since then decided that I'm going to stay at JCC and obtain my Associate's degree. I loved Siena and would have really liked to go there. But, we wont find out until the fall if their program is able to run, they only accept in the winter semester, I have to take quite a few classes that I really don't need, I wouldn't be able to even apply for the program until a year from this coming winter semester, and I wouldn't necessarily get into the program right away. As long as I have my Associates, I can always go back to school for my Bachelor's. I feel like, for me, it's the best decision. Last Thursday I met with an advisor to go over classes that I will be taking this Fall.

Chemistry of Life : Mondays 9-12:30 & Wednesdays 9-10:30

Developmental Psychology : Tuesdays 6-9 PM

Pharmacology : Tuesdays 9 AM-12 PM

Children's Literature : Tuesdays & Thursdays 12:30-2:00

or

Cultural Connections : Online

I'm leaning towards Cultural Connections because it's an actual Humanities class and with it being online I would still be able to work for Michelle during the school year. The only bad one is Developmental Psych since it's late at night. I have learned with A&P this semester that I'm not good with night classes. Actually, I'm not really good with any classes, Ha! ;-)

Glad you have a plan...that always makes me feel better to know what's going to happen. Here's a word of advice: don't put off getting your bachelors! I'm almost finished with my bachelors and haven't regretted it one bit. Where I'm from, hospitals prefer BSNs over ASNs because they tend to think better critically and have a stronger theoretical background.

Whatever decision you make, good luck! Nursing school is challenging but so rewarding!

I agree with Stephaine the RN.. it's great to have figured this out and to have goals.

Just aim high, and strive high, because in the end it's just a few years and it is one of the most important things you can do!!
